Next session 2 October: "online question generation for reading comprehension"

Presenter: Hui-Chin Yeh (National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan)

This session will explore how a question generation processes can improve students' reading comprehension when using an online question generation system that includes organisation, composition and peer assessment modules. Results from a study undertaken with non-Eenglish major tertiary students indicated that students with better progress in reading comprehension also demonstrated similar question generation patterns. The students' reading comprehension was maximised when students engaged intensively to compose the online questions including editing and organising information along with reviewing peers' questions.
Audience interaction is encouraged to make it a lively session.

Hosted by: Professor Geoffrey Crisp (RMIT University, Australia) and
Dr Mathew Hillier (Teaching and Educational Development Institute, University of Queensland, Australia).

Time: GMT 07:00AM, 2 October (Duration approx 1 hour)
